Samples & Contest Winners

Will they ever get here?

I've been patiently waiting for the samples of our new lines to get here and I have to admit I'm starting to get anxious.  I checked the tracking number on Monday and they were in California...yesterday they were in Ohio...and today they're back in California.  Should I just get in my car and drive to California to pick them up myself?  After all, it's only a 4 hour drive from Vegas to LAX.  Okay, I guess I can just wait...

On a side note, I've had a bunch of people asking me how the newest addition to our family is doing.  Tommy is now 7 weeks old and has already gained 6 pounds!  At this rate he's gained about a pound a week!  I guess that means he's healthy.  :)

Although we're in Las Vegas it is FREEZING outside (well, 50 degrees is freezing to a girl raised in the desert). Since we just released our Winter 2010 spring collections I've had my mind on spring...flowers blooming, gardening, playing outside, camp outs...I can't wait! As we try to make it through the next few months of winter, let's think about spring and have a PHOTO CONTEST! Submit a spring picture (or a picture that makes you think of spring) to contests@piggytales.com by midnight PST, January 31st to be entered in a contest to win our complete Winter 2010 release. We'll pick the finalists from all the submissions then open up the voting to everyone February 2nd! Be creative and have fun! There will be several winners!! Details: Please keep your photos less than 200KB in size. Only 2 entries per person. All photos must be taken by submitter. Deadline is midnight PST, January 31st. instructions.
place ribbon around center of white cardstock square.  Adhere square to center of striped paper card base.
Apply duck rub-on to circle chipboard.  Place circle on far right of card.  Add letter stickers around circle for greeting.

Row, Row, Your Boat Piggy-back Page Kit

Simple Simon Page Kit

 It's that time of year my friends!  You know, the one where you are bundled in your homes cozying up to a fire and snuggled down in slippers and your grandmother's quilt.  It's also that time of year when we get the most scrapbooking done!  Summer months are spent creating outdoor memories and when the weather turns cold, this is when we get to create memorable scrapbook layouts for those fun memories!

My daughter and her best friend are together a lot and these pictures truly capture their carefree spirits!  It was a beautiful spring day and they decided to sell lemonade in our neighborhood.  Things got a little silly and it was so fun to capture them during this moment!  
 
I used the super cute "Row Your Boat" collection to create this layout.  I love the colors in this collection and even though it is freezing here outside, I can feel the warmth of those spring days in these cute papers and embellishments!  Have you seen Piggy Tales yummy epoxy letters?  I decided to punch a tiny hole in the top of a few and hang them from the chipboard letters above to give them a fun look.  I'd love for you to give it a try!  
 
Enjoy these cold winter months and all of those late scrappin' nights!
